The Disco Pant is Back!

Remember the uproar Olivia Newton John caused when she wore the shiny, spray on trousers in Grease? No, me neither, I’m a bit young but trust me, there was a right old hoo-ha about it. Disco Pants really hit the big time in the 80s, back when spandex was cool.

Disco Pants have been on the style radar a while now. The fashion blogging community love them and have a lot to answer for, for their return into mainstream fashion. But it isn’t just bloggers that love disco pants, more and more celebrities have been sporting the look lately too.

Jessie J is a big fan and has been seen in virtually all the colours American Apparel supply but the likes of Cher Lloyd, Shenae Grimes, Lydia Bright, Tulisa and Michelle Keegan have all been spotted styling them in various different ways too.

I think the disco pant is so successful because not only do they claim to suck you in and really flatter your legs but they can be styled in numerous ways. Whether you want to dress them up with heels and a sheer blouse or dress down with a grungy rock tee and Converse, they’re incredibly versatile.

If the American Apparel disco pants are out of your price range, the good news is that there are a lot of cheap disco pants lookalikes out there. We love Boohoo’s disco pants and Glamorous UK’s range.
