Edgy Trend: Creepers

Creepers are one of those trends that, in a few years, you’ll look back on and think ‘What was I thinking?’ but right now, we love them!
Creepers don’t have a massive celebrity following as they are quite out there but a notable fan (as always for an edgy trend) is Rihanna.
Rihanna wore a pair of creepers in her video for We Found Love and way back on an X-Factor performance, not to mention numerous other times out and about.
Creepers have been getting ever popular with bloggers and are a nice change of flat shoe from brogues, ballet pumps or trainers.
If you’re considering getting yourself a pair but aren’t sure how to style them creepers go with a range of outfits like Rihanna demonstrates, making them surprisingly versatile. They are a grungy look but they add a nice twist on floral dresses and otherwise girly outfits.
Schuh and New Look sell a nice range of creepers for all budgets. If you want to go for a brand like Bronx or T.U.K you’ll be looking at spending more than some of New Look’s own brands.
Another good place for cheap creepers is Missguided. They come in a range of designs and colours like leopard print and hot pink but a good starting point for creepers beginners would be the standard black design.
Personally, I love the grungy edginess of the studded creepers. What do you think? Do you love them or hate them?
