MCF Re-Launch Event Part 1 – Overview
So, we’ve been planning it for months and the day finally arrived; the MyCelebrityFashion Re-Launch Party.
Shannon and I packed up Alfie; her trusty little car, and left leafy Gloucestershire for the bright lights of London early on Tuesday morning. We spent the day prepping the goody bags and getting very excited for the party which kicked off at 7pm.
We hosted the party at Bacchus Pub and Kitchen in trendy Shoreditch after falling in love with its shabby chic vintage feel. Guests were welcomed with a glass of champers and our lovely Shannon’s happy face.
We were excited to see lots of fashion bloggers, especially those who bravely turned up on their own to their first blogger event. As is the way with the fashion blogging community, all of the girls instantly welcomed and chatted to one another so any first event nerves were flitted away.
We were joined at the event by lots of brands, many of whom were guests who were on hand to chat about their latest collections. The event was co-hosted by Macy’s and Bloomingdales; two lovely U.S brands that now ship to the U.K. The venue housed three rooms and we stationed a brand in each room. You can read more about Wish Want Wear, Motel Rocks and Beau Bronze’s rooms in Part Two of our MCF Re-Launch Event blogs.
We got chatting to as many of our lovely guests as we could during the night and it was fantastic to meet you all. There are some incredible bloggers out there and each one arrived looking gorgeous and ready to chat. I loved seeing bloggers interacting with each other; chatting away and swapping tips and stories. The bloggers that I met on the night were all friendly, stylish people with a great eye for fashion.
Our other guests included fashion brands and affiliates who work on behalf of multiple fashion brands. We also had lots of PR people, journalists and marketing agencies in attendance and it was fantastic to see so many people turn up to support us.
We held a couple of prize draws on the night; Wish Want Wear kindly gave away 6 months free dress hire, plus a second prize of 3 months free dress hire, which I’m sure will be put to good use. The beautiful girls from Rare London also gave a £200 Rare London shopping spree and a second prize of a free dress from their latest collection.
To thank our guests for coming we gave them each a goody bag that was filled with fashion and beauty goodies including a Motel Rocks gift voucher, Skin Health Spa voucher, Jean Paul Gautier coke bottle, LOL drink, I Love… face masks and lip glosses, plus a host of lookbooks and brochures from our favourite brands.
We’re so excited about our re-launch and were keen to showcase our new look to all you lovely people so huge thanks to everyone who came and shared our celebrations. We’ve already spied some of your lovely blogs and have photos and videos for anyone who wants to add them to their blogs. If you need anything just e-mail me or tweet @MyCelebFashion and check out the photo gallery on our Facebook page.
Come back later for Part Two of our mini blog series, where I’ll be telling you all about the brands that shared our night.
