XFactor Live Blog on Saturday 15th November 2014 with Celeb stylist Laura Jane Turner
Great news, from 8pm on Saturday night we have invited Laura Jane Turner, celebrity stylist and fashion expert to live blog again through XFactor. Last week’s live blog was so popular that we have decided to do it again.
Updates will appear below from 8pm on Saturday!
8pm – Laura here! Thanks for joining me again for another week of XFactor style antics…
UPDATE: It would make a really nice change for one week if Simon or Louis would wear something a little different… heck, even a coloured shirt… or tie even! Anyway, Cheryl nailed it AGAIN in Naeem Khan. That feather hem is divine, and such a big trend for the season – there are plenty of affordable High St. versions if you’re looking to mirror the trend. Perfectly in-keeping with the 20’s big band theme too. Mel B needs to take a lesson from Cheryl’s book, I’m sorry.
UPDATE: Oh yes yes yes Lauren! Taking a page out of your mentor’s book, wearing a knock-out sparkly gown from Ruby Prom. With a 20’s-esque sleek side parting and tumbling loose waves. 10/10.
UPDATE: As if the XFactor really needed to get any more sentimental, we’ve got Jay James rocking his Grandad’s old suit, singing his Mum’s favourite song…. let’s reach for the tissues.
UPDATE: It sure is a good week to be in the suit making business! Stereo Kicks did look smart though, all wearing TOPMAN and T.M Lewin shirts. I’m sure the UK is awash with swooning teenage girls right now…
UPDATE: I just caught a glimpse of Stevi’s suit… safe to say I don’t want to see any more!
UPDATE: Has Louis actually done something right? What an amazing song choice for Only The Young! And they looked incred in a mix of Kooples, Zara, New Look and Topman.
UPDATE: Stevi’s up. Small consolation that this sequin monstrosity isn’t a full suit. But it’s just as awful as the singing.
UPDATE: And again with the big hem! They all want a taste of one of this season’s biggest festive party trends. I have to say, I do like Fleur’s dress, but I don’t think it suits the song choice. Might not be popular opinion, but it just didn’t work for me this week gurl.
In true Big Band style, we’ve seen a mix of gorgeous show-stopping sparkly numbers for the girls, and suave suits for the guys – and even a combo of the two for the one and only Stevi Ritchie. It was a nice Saturday night throw back to the Gatsby 20’s trend. I do love me some vintage glamour.
