Victoria’s Secret Instagram Stalking Special – Celebrating their Secret Fashion Show

Unless you are living under a rock, you will have heard about the Victoria’s Secret show at Earl’s Court in London this week. The promotions have ranged far and wide, which is probably not too difficult considering that the subject of all this media hype is a bevvy of the world’s most beautiful women wearing incredible underwear.

Fashion, beauty or sheer body inspiration, here’s the round-up of the best Instagram posts from Victoria’s Secret models this week.

Behatti Prinsloo

International supermodel, Behatti Prinsloo, opened the show this year for the very first time with this incredible gold outfit, ensuring the show got off to a literally dazzling start. Wife of Adam Levigne, the model later posted about her husband sending her a bouquet of flowers to celebrate the new accomplishment. We can predict that metallics will be a big trend in the coming season, with winter the most popular time for these glittering hues.

Doutzen Kroes

Just five months after having her first baby, Doutzen Kroes smashed it at the Victoria’s Secret show, without a stretch mark to be seen. This 29-year-old Dutch model has become one of the most recognisable Victoria’s Secret models and, having been an Angel since 2008, she could probably steal the show in her sleep. In addition to strutting around wearing a pair of rather elaborate wings, Doutzen also has a contract with giant hair and makeup brand, L’Oreal and is rumoured to be one of the highest earning models, according to Forbes.

Barbara Fialho

Brazilian-born Barbara posted this gorgeous photo, illustrating the fiesta of colours on display in some of the costumes.  The folk-style pompoms and bold knee high socks give a circus feel to the fashion, while the oversized collar adds the kind of drama which only VS can bring.

Lily Aldridge

It’s no wonder that the born and bred California girl, Lily Aldridge, takes to the catwalk like a duck to water seeing as she’s worked with a reel of hugely impressive fashion brands featuring none other than Abercrombie & Fitch, Levi’s, Bobbi Brown and Gap among many others. Stockings are always going to be a lingerie staple, but we predict that the longline bra is going to gain popularity to become 2015’s must-have.

Izabel Goulart

We adore this pop of bright pink, bringing fun and frivolity to lingerie fashion. Not everyone can pull off hot pink and lime, but if anyone can, it’s these ladies! Would those shoes give us all legs for days like Iza?

Isabeli Fontana

This shot posted by Isabeli Fontana, yet another Southern Brazilian beauty, just goes to prove how Victoria’s Secret is so much more than lounging around with fluffy angel wings on. The sexy rock’n’roll vibe is finished off with traditional black stockings and suspenders, a choker necklace and spiky, extravagant wings.

Taylor Swift

Isabeli was one of the lucky models to get up close and personal with one of the celebrities performing during the night. Taylor Swift was joined by Ed Sheeran (not in the least bit awkward) and Ariana Grande to deliver show-stopping performances as the models sashayed around them. Swift gave the models a run for their money with her sheer patterned lace get-up, complete with long vampy sleeves.

Lindsay Ellingson

And then the wings met the cape. This year, there was an increasing trend to incorporate flowing sheer material, creating an almost butterfly-esque visual for the models. The shoes, however, are arguably the hottest score of this outfit. Lindsay is no stranger to high fashion couture, having modelled for brands such as Chanel, Valentino and Christian Dior, so no risk of any wobbles.

Elsa Hosk

Elsa rocked this cute and quirky Victoria’s Secret design, with over the knee shoe styles making another appearance in the spotlight. With this sport-style jacket, crop top and briefs, we could almost imagine this outfit accompanied pitch side by some pompoms.

Martha Hunt

Martha posted this picture after the show of a bevvy of her fellow beauties, Taylor Swift camouflaging into the centre with replica glossy blonde waves. The loose and sexy hairstyle suits the flirty, informal vibe of the show and proves that bottle blonde is still a winner to those arguing that blondes have lost their cool over the years since bombshells such as Marilyn and the Playboy Bunnies made it the choice of many magazine and on-screen sirens. To tailor your tousled tresses to the winter look, focus on creating groomed glossy waves and move away from the more casual summer beachy styles.

Lais Ribeiro

This outfit has to be one of our faves, plus it’s one we could actually imagine lounging around in. That print, those colours, the volume – it makes us think of holidays somewhere exotic. What more could you want in a dressing gown? In spite of modelling for only 5 years, Lais has clocked up shows for all the big fashion players, including Versace, Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana, and she was not out of place among the more experienced models who have been strutting catwalks for ten years or more.

Karlie Kloss

Karlie’s post from the show is a dream of black silk and sheer lace, which is possibly the most constant fabric across the whole collection, with a peek of stockings underneath. Part villain, part matador and completely gorgeous – we want.

Joan Smalls

One of the most well-known Victoria’s Secret models, Joan did not disappoint this year. The peekaboo netting brought a whole new twist to the traditional suspender belt, giving the look an almost 1940s burlesque feel, with interesting cocoon or cage-like structure on the bodice. The netting is something to watch out for on the high street as this new trend is set to filter down to us Earth-bound mortals.

Jourdan Dunn

Jourdan, one the hottest new models on the scene (and British – to boot), looked completely relaxed as she glided down the catwalk, in an elegant white bodice with an embellished black lace overlay to soften the sometimes-harsh monochrome combination. The corset is another garment which has been going strong for decades, centuries in fact, and is showing no signs of coming to an end anytime soon.

Stella Maxwell

The beautiful Stella was resplendent at her debut show, bedecked with ruffles and frills to create a dramatic yet feminine ensemble. The regal tail of her bodice gives the outfit more of an outerwear vibe and we can picture ruffles hitting a variety of high street hemlines and sleeves.

Josephine Skriver

It’s no secret that the girls love all kinds of media and are no less a stranger to an Insta post as they are to the photographer catching their kisses blown from the top of the catwalk. This Dutch model, Josephine, posted a snap of the girls getting ready, wearing their trademark silk and lace batwing gowns.

Magdalena Frackowiak

Magdalena’s comment here may be complimenting Taylor Swift’s performance, but she’s still stealing the show with the trademark swagger of one of the world’s top 50 models, according to! The fluffy sandals and billowing, full-length gown in that sheer powder-pink hue scream Clueless meets Hollywood housewife in all the right ways.

Kasia Struss

Kasia’s black and white lace ensemble offers a grown up, classy version of the French maid fantasy. Not only can we drool over the fashion, hair and beauty in this post, but it also shares a brief insight into what is happening behind the scenes in the heart of the Victoria’s Secret machine. Which pretty much looks like a really cool, elaborate costume party, with professional photographers aplenty, delivering further evidence for the argument that this show is the coolest of them all.

Monika Jagaciak

Pulling tropical colours into this coral combo, we love the almost Hawaiian print jacket and statement shoes. Coral is a summer must-have, looking incredible against any skin tone and emphasising a hint of a tan, so this hippy boho style is high on our wishlist.

Sigrid Agren

Sigrid posted that she couldn’t decide on her favourite outfit, but hey – what a lovely dilemma to have! And we don’t blame her, but we have to swing with this beautiful dress; the lux black feathery number mixes sheer and sculpted styles to create the ultimate sex appeal.
