Summer is a popular time for weddings and we all want to dress to impress, whilst looking feminine and elegant. We have picked out the best dresses to work with different figures and styles so you can ensure you look your best. Stray away from black and look at pretty colours to get in the celebrating mood and hit the pastel trend which will be big this summer.
This Tamara Short Dress, £115, Coast is beautiful for a summer wedding, with its cobalt blue colour and floaty chiffon fabric guaranteed to keep you comfortable and cool through the long ceremony in the summer heat. The dress will also flatter your figure with a sweetheart neckline and enclosed boning in the bodice, and the floaty cut will skim your hips. It doesn't have to be limited to just weddings though, you can dress it up for dates too. Wear it with some black open toe heels and put your hair in a stylish top-knot for a perfect summer look.
A lovely feminine number is this Bow Front Babydoll Dress, £65, Lipsy. Everything that a girly dress should be here: it's floaty, pink, strappy, and has a gorgeous bow front detail. Perfect if you're going for a sweet style, and easily accessorised. Just throw on a pair of wedges or nude heels and a sparkly clutch for a simple yet effective summer wedding look. Wear your hair in loose curls, and with a slick of lip-gloss and pink blush you'll have the girly look perfected.
Another dress we found that would look great at a summer wedding is this Gesin Bird Print Belted Skater Dress, £24.99, Missguided. This dress is great if you're on a budget and looking for a cheap new outfit, as this is a bargain at only £24.99. It is a quirky dress and perfect for those looking for a stylish wedding outfit if you have a unique style. Whimsical patterns are on trend for summer 2012 and so you can be fashion forward and elegant in this pretty dress. Change the black belt that comes with this belt for a similar skinny one, but in cream or light brown and then wear cork wedges or if you want to be more comfortable this dress would look good with some pretty flats.
If you are looking for a maxi dress then you'll love this Crafted Feather Maxi Dress, £40, Republic. This dress is full of detail; we love feather print and the bead embellished neckline which adds glamour to this pretty frock. The neutral colours will suit any skin tone and the dress has elastic detailing around the waist to pull you in and give you an hour glass silhouette. This floor length gown would look great with some white strappy sandals and minimal accessories as the embellished neckline on this dress already works like a statement necklace.
