The Brit Awards are around the corner, and there's still time to vote before the awards on Saturday. There are so many brilliant nominees this year that it's hard to choose who we'll be voting for, and they all make worthy winners. However we've predicted who we think will go home with the award for each category and how to steal their style.
The British Male Solo Artist is full of brilliant singers; Ed Sheeran, James Blake, James Morrison, and Noel Gallagher. However we predict the award will be going to Professor Green after his album; At Your Inconvenience peaked on the UK charts at number 3. He has been everywhere throughout 2011 and his single with rising star Emeli Sande, Read All About It earned him his first number one and was one of the fastest selling singles of the year. Buy his album, At Your Inconvenience, £4.99 at Play.com with free delivery.
There are just as many amazing singers in the British Female Solo Artist, (Adele, Florence and the Machine, Jessie J, Kate Bush and Laura Marling). Our favourite to win is quirky pop-star Jessie J, who has had a list of hits which we've all loved such as Who You Are, Price Tag, and Who's Laughing Now. Her Album reached number 1 in the UK and we love her colourful style as well as her music. Get her look at My Celebrity Fashion's Jessie J profile.
The nominees for the British Breakthrough Act also include Jessie J, as well as artists Emeli Sande, The Vaccines and Anna Calvi. We think the award will go to Ed Sheeran, who is nominated for four categories, however we think this is the one that he will shine in as he jumped into the music scene out of nowhere and we all fell in love with his acoustic sound. This Terracotta Marl Kangaroo Hoody, £25 from Topman is similar to one worn by Ed (and Rupert Grint) in his video for Lego House.
The British Group Award is full of great bands but we are thinking it will be Coldplay collecting the award for this category as they have had some big hits recently such as Paradise, and Princess of China featuring pop princess Rihanna. Their album Mylo Xyloto hit number one in countries all over the world. If you haven't bought it already then you can get it here, Mylo Xyloto, 8.99 at Play.com.
We have tipped Adele's hit single Someone Like You to win the Brit award for British Single. This song was a massive hit for Adele and went platinum selling over 1.2 million records. Adele loves her shift and fitted dresses and we've found one that we think she would love, this Ink Ponte Peplum Dress, £32 from Dorothy Perkins. Just wear with your hair in a bun, big stud earrings and bold fake eyelashes to steal Adele's style. We also predict that the Mastercard British Album of The Year will be going to Adele for her brilliant album, 21.
We predict Bruno Mars will be winning the award for Best International Male Solo Artist, beating competition Aloe Blacc, Bon Iver, David Guetta and Ryan Adams. He has had many successes with his singles charting in the UK. Bruno has a quirky vintage sense of fashion and is often seen wearing a trilby hat to complete his look. Try this Men Trilby, £25 from John Lewis.
The International Female Solo Artist nominees are all big names in music, such as pop diva Beyonce and Lady Gaga. However we think that it'll be Rihanna who walks away with this Brit award. Rihanna has recently released her album, Talk That Talk which had a big response, and with many great singles released throughout 2011, Rihanna looks set to be given the award. Steal her style with our profile of Rihanna outfits here.
The International Group award we predict will go to Maroon 5. Other nominees however include Fleet Foxes, Foo Fighters, Lady Antebellum, and Jay Z/Kanye West. We think Maroon 5 are a great band and we loved their collaboration with Christina Aguilera, Moves Like Jagger. Get their album, Hands All Over, £9.63 at Play.com.
The International Breakthrough Act nominees are Aloe Blacc, Bon Iver, Foster The People, Lana Del Rey and Nicki Minaj, who we think will be winning the award. Her album, Pink Friday went platinum in the US and gold in the UK. Her single Super Bass went to number 8 in the UK. Nicki Minaj has a bold style that doesn't just stop at her clothes; she is always seen experimenting with crazy coloured hair and bright bold make up. We found this 17 Lasting Fix Lipstick in Pink Power, £4.29 from Boots and it is really similar to the hot pink lipstick she is often seen wearing.
