The People's Choice Awards are decided by the viewing public, unlike the Oscars and Golden Globes in which it's people in the industry who determine the winners. This year, millions of fans voted online for their personal favourites.

Queen Latifah hosted the glamorous event that was shown on CBS. The PCA’s have been held each year since 1975 and are extremely glitzy and glamorous, so many celebs chose to splash out of elaborate outfits and stunning accessories.

This year saw Katy Perry win “Favourite Pop Song” for her I Kissed a Girl single and Kate Hudson won “Favourite Leading Lady”. Angelina Jolie picked up the award for “Female Action Star” and the “Favourite Comedy Movie” was 27 Dresses. Congratulations ladies!

Everyone was dressed to impress on the red carpet, including Reese Witherspoon who won “Favourite Female Movie Star” and Paris Hilton, who didn’t win an award but still looked gorgeous as ever!

The Dark Knight picked up numerous awards and Alicia Keys won “Favourite R&B Song”.
