How would you define your own fashion style?

Casually smart. I wear jeans a lot but generally try to wear shirts and shoes. I don’t think I’m particularly stylish...

Are you a browser or a get it and get out kind of guy in terms of fashion shopping?

I don’t go clothes shopping very often and I’m not very impulsive when it comes to clothes, so tend to browse and then go back another day to actually buy something.

Which are your favourite high street stores and why?

Uniqlo’s clothes are simple but good quality and contemporary; I wear them rather than they wear me. And they mix in well with the rest of my wardrobe.

Who are your current favourite fashion designers?

Personally I tend to wear a lot of Comme des Garcon, Martin Margeila and Vivienne Westwood not because they are my favourite designers, but when it comes to shopping it always tends to be one of those three. Outside of what I wear, I don’t have favourite designers; I may like a particular season by a designer (and not necessarily the next) or individual garments.

What’s your one male grooming essential item?

Comme des Garcons perfumes.

Have you got a ‘lucky’ item of clothing?

My Hannah Martin wedding ring. I don’t sleep in it so it is always the last thing I put on in the morning and it means I’m ready for the day.

What was your biggest fashion faux pas?

The whole of the 1980s. I was a goth and then a fashion student, so although I looked awful I’m really pleased I experimented so much.

Who are your past and present celebrity style icons?

1970’s Siouxsie Sioux, 1980’s Grace Jones, Isabella Blow, Beth Ditto, Courtney Love and Grace Woodward. Grace and I are working together at the moment, alongside Lucie Jones, on the Wonderbra ‘Full Effect Your Life’ campaign. It’s a competition for girls to win amazing fashion experiences like fashion styling and fashion buying. To find out more you can go to www.wonderbrafulleffect.co.uk . It’s good to work with people that inspire you and you get on well with, so this chance was perfect!

What is the biggest fashion turn off for you?

Three-quarter length trousers on men and shell suits

What’s your biggest fashion turn on?

Hannah Martin jewellery.

Topman has earned its sartorial stripes with an unswerving, energetic approach to producing truly exciting high-street men's fashion. Driving trends forward whilst shifting the way men approach shopping, the brand's attitude to creating brilliant, affordable and authoritative menswear is second to none.

London's mega Oxford Circus flagship - one of 8 chief stores in the major cities throughout the UK - sees 75,000 pairs of feet storm its 15,000 square-foot floor every week. The rest of the globe is catching up too. Here's the maths: there are Topman stores in over sixty cities worldwide, stretching across twenty countries while boutiques in America, China and Japan stock the brand. As one might suspect, its fashion forwardness continues into cyberspace with transactional website Topman.com seeing over 250,000 unique visits a week, with current shipping to the UK, Eire, Europe, USA and Australia.
